Emma and Julian
St. Michaels Manor Wedding

THERE ARE ONLY TWO TIMES THAT I WANT TO BE WITH YOU.
NOW AND FOREVER.
Emma and Julian had the most INCREDIBLE day! They decided on ‘the whole package’ and took advantage of having their engagement session and two photographers on the day – this meant we could be with both Emma and Julian in the morning to capture how the mornings went and they both loved seeing this unfild at their viewing session.
The day started with one of us at the Bridal preparations at Emma’s parents house and the other at their house with Julian – the excitement and nerves built throughout the morning until it was time to head to their ceremony…
I had already seen this incredible building that was Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. George in Enfield. Huge ceilings, beautiful lighting and one of the most animated priests I have met to date! The ceremony was perfect with so many little nervous smiles between the two as they read their vows and made sure not to forget any words (we all do that on our wedding day).
We stepped out into glorious sunshine before heading off to the iconic St. Michaels Manor in St. Albans with its private grounds – its own lake and unbelievable service! With the weather being so great for us we were able to create two stunning sets of portraits for the couple and capture the well know confetti images on the winding stairs!
After some emotional speeches and lots of laughing, it was time to party the night away thanks to the guys at My Big Day Events who provided an awesome DJ, Magic Mirror and also a dancefloor for everyone to show off their best moves!!
I Work With You To Bring Your Dream Day Into A Reality
Before their big day, Emma and Julian came to meet me at the studio to talk all about what was important to them – Every wedding is different and although I have my own style, I’ll always listen and work with my couples to make sure we get the best from their day!
Having a fun and relaxed engagement session is a great way to get to know eachother a little more and to bring that confidence of being in front of the camera right up and ready for the main event!
Planning & Budgeting
Emma and Julian had done all the planning themselves and had budgeted wisely! They had created such a personal feeling to their day by adding lots of tiny touches which were very special to them!
As far as budgeting goes – have a final figure in mind and then work logically – Guest list (so you know how much room you will need) Venue first, Photographer and/or Videographer second – these are the businesses that get booked 12/18 months in advance – then dress (serious fun!) DJ, Bridesmaids dresses and suits and then you can look into venue decoration (if not included with your venue), invitations. Before you know it, it will be time for your engagement session!!
Venue & Decor
The fantastic team at St Michaels Manor worked with Emma and Julian to decorate the venue just perfectly as tey would want it – Little details hanging in the trees, colours hand picked to fit the theme of their day and the turn around from wedding breakfast into dance floor was flawless – the team were helpful and riendly throughout the day which goes a long way with couples, guests and suppliers!
Event & Guest Coordination
St Michaels Manor had a Master of Ceremonies in place to help with the organising and timings of the day – he was very comfortable in his role and handled everything with confidence and in a polite manner! Again, this means a lot when it comes to making decisions regarding venues as you want to work with people that will do the best for your day!
“Cannot recommend this man enough, even almost 2 years after our wonderful day, we look back at the pictures Daniel and his team took and it takes us right back. Friendly, professional, and highly skilled, everything you could hope for in a Photographer for one of the most important moments in your life! Thank you Dan Adams!”
“Dan worked with us to make us feel more comfortable and relaxed – not sure of the last time I laughed like that – absolutely knows what he is doing to help people”
“If you are looking for someone to make you feel great, work really well with everyone involved and recreates the emotion and feeling from your day when you look back over it time and time again – then Dan is the man for you! Even our family and friends commented on just how great he was throughout the day!”
