“THE ONLY THING MORE INCREDIBLE THAN YOUR SMILE, IS WHEN YOU SMILE AT ME”
What a cracker of a wedding!! Sonia and Paul had created the most beautiful setting for their big day – hosted by South Mymms Cricket Club with a huge marquee and having their ceremony outside – I can not begin to tell you just how beautiful their photos came out!
Sonia and Paul had opted for the whole lot – an engagement session with signing frame, two photographers for their entire day and also a frame of their favourite image from the day (more about Frames Vs Albums on another post).
The day began with one of us at Sonias house with all the girls getting ready, there was champagne flowing, matching pyjamas and slippers and the atmosphere was so great that we all knew we were in for a magical day!
The other of us was at Pauls parents house, a stunning place with its own bar in the garden. Paul was chilled out, having a beer with his groomsmen, little bit of a kickabout in the garden whilst the anticipation built and the two best men comparing speeches to make sure they had everything covered! then it was time to get ready.
The venue was not a typical wedding venue but what Sonia and Paul had done was create something incredible – outdoor seating with their ceremony taking place outside, huge marquee for all their guests to eat and drink in and an awesone DJ and dancefloor inside provided by DJ Mike of Disco Factory (who was incredible all day with one of the best evening playlists I have heard at a wedding)
Gary (2nd photographer) and I had scouted an incredible field over the back of the grounds so in the early evening, as the light was perfect, we headed over thier to get some incredible portraits for this awesome couple!
I Work With You To Bring Your Dream Day Into A Reality
Sonia and PAul were one of those couples that no matter what we suggested they were like “yeah, lets do it” This made it easy for us to create these incredible portraits for them as although they felt shy in front of the camera, they were adventurous enough to realise that this was THE day to try things – one day, one chance, one great experience! Sonia and Paul also had an engagement session to boos their confidence before the big day – it really does help so many people once they have experienced how fun it can be!
Having a fun and relaxed engagement session is a great way to get to know eachother a little more and to bring that confidence of being in front of the camera right up and ready for the main event!
Planning & Budgeting
Sonia is a planning goddess! They set out a budget from the off and started nailing down suppliers as early as possible and paying them off way ahead of time which allowed for some nice little extras like the matching pj’s, personalised flip flops and Pauls new branded underwear!!
As far as budgeting goes – have a final figure in mind and then work logically – Guest list (so you know how much room you will need) Venue first, Photographer and/or Videographer second – these are the businesses that get booked 12/18 months in advance – then dress (serious fun!) DJ, Bridesmaids dresses and suits and then you can look into venue decoration (if not included with your venue), invitations. Before you know it, it will be time for your engagement session!!
Venue & Decor
With help from Sonia, Paul, Family, friends and the team at South Mymms Cricket Club – These guys made it an incredible place to hold their big day – so many peronal touches and totally in keeping with their theme!
Event & Guest Coordination
We had better than an guest co-ordination for this day – we had DJ Mike from Disco Factory who was there for the entire day and created such a brilliant environment for everyone!
“We had Dan as our wedding photographer and he was absolutely amazing, we had an engagement shoot included in our package and Dan made us feel really comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. We had a couple of meetings with him in the lead up to the wedding where we went through all the shots we wanted to capture throughout the day.”
“Dan put our minds at ease by knowing exactly what he was talking about, running through the day, what to expect and most importantly that he would take care of arranging the guests for group shots and we wouldn’t have to deal with that stress.”
“Dan was absolutely fantastic all day and evening and we were over the moon with our final images, I would highly recommend Dan to anyone that is looking for a photographer”
